The CT-6 is a Leg Traction Splint designed for Pre Hospital Care and Patient transport, specifically in combat scenarios. It is primarily used on patients with mid-line femur fractures. The CT-6 helps relieve patient pain and prevents further damage to surrounding muscle and tissue while reducing the risk of death caused from severed arteries. The CT-6 is made of carbon tubing which snaps together via an internal bungee. A Cobra buckle secures the Ischial strap to the upper leg and groin. These buckles prevent accidental releases and are commonly used by US military forces. Traction is achieved with a 4 to1 purchase system using a small line to apply tension. This method results in a very precise and delicate form or traction that is also powerful enough to be effective on extra large adults. The CT-6 is extremely compact, light and strong.
Light: Unit weighs 1.1 lbs (500 grams)
Compact: Unit fits in small synch bag, 11 x 4 x 3in.
Includes Molle compatible bag, labeled.
Strong: Carbon Fiber poles and injection molded plastics.
Effective: Four to one pulley system for efficient, easily adjustable traction.
One unit fits both Adult and Pediatric patients.

Decubitus Wound Care Model
Made with a flexible, lifelike material that permits the application and easy removal of dressings, without leaving an adhesive residue. Model is molded from an actual 74-year-old patient so it looks and feels like the real thing. Displays the following pressure ulcers: Stage I; Stage II; Stage III with undermining, tunneling, subcutaneous fat and slough; and deep Stage IV with exposed bones, undermining, tunneling, subcutaneous fat, eschar and slough. Also shown are a suspected deep tissue injury, unstageable full eschar/slough wound, and 51⁄2" dehisced wound. The Stage III and Stage IV are positioned so that a “bridging” dressing for use with a vacuum assisted closure and negative pressure wound therapy devices can be demonstrated and practiced. You are able to demonstrate and practice wound cleansing, classification, staging, and assessment, as well as the measurement of wound length, depth, undermining, and tunneling. The positioning of the wounds permits multiple dressings to be demonstrated at the same time. Model measures 12" x 13 1⁄2" x 6". Ship weight 6.50 lbs.
FAST 1 Trainer
This small trainer provides critical anatomic landmarks for training care givers in the use of the FAST 1™. Previous training was done utilizing Pyng Medical’s SIM-STERN materials without benefit of realistic anatomic landmarks or employing the SIM-IO trainer on fellow-students (using hook-and-loop-tipped simulated catheter and SIM-IO training target patch) but not experiencing the real forces involved in placing the FAST 1™ catheter. With this very transportable trainer, students will be able to palpate the suprasternal notch for placement of the target patch, place a target patch on the trainer, and actually insert the FAST 1™ infusion catheter using the FAST 1™ demonstrator. A replaceable disk lies under the simulator skin surface and is slightly rotated after each insertion, making up to 100 FAST 1™ insertions per disk possible. If your service utilizes the FAST 1™ sternal intraosseous device or you operate a training center that teaches the use of adult intraosseous infusions, this simulator is a must. Size: 8" x 6" x 7". Ship weight 3.50 lbs.
